As the BTA strike dragged on City Councilor At Large, Hannah Bowen, filed a “A Resolution in support of Funding Student and Education Success”. Although it was voted down (6 to 3), the next day the BTA ended the strike and the negations were concluded. Based on her “Day Job” in conflict resolution, this discussion explored “Why did it take so long?” & “How could the negation process be improved next time?” Also could the City Council exercise a different option to preclude a strike?
